I am pleased to serve as Guest Editor for the Special Issue:
“Biomechanical Symmetry and Asymmetry in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Wearable Technologies”
This Special Issue of Symmetry welcomes research exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging wearable technologies can advance the assessment and interpretation of biomechanical symmetry and asymmetry in human movement.
We welcome contributions focusing on:
• AI & machine learning in human movement analysis
• Wearable sensors, IMUs & markerless motion tracking
• Agent-based wearable and assistive systems for personalized rehabilitation
• Knowledge graphs, semantics & LLM pipelines in biomechanics
The Special Issue aims to bring together methodological, technological, and applied research at the intersection of biomechanics, artificial intelligence, wearable sensing, and rehabilitation.
For full details about the Special Issue, including its scope, topics of interest, submission guidelines, and manuscript submission, please visit the official Symmetry Special Issue page:
